Ad Quality Policies

Beeswax Ad Quality Policies

These Beeswax Ad Quality Policies (these “Policies”) describe our ad quality standards and provide guidance on the content and behavior of ads permitted through our platforms. Beeswax requires that all ads served through our system meet quality standards that safeguard the user experience and meet the requirements of our inventory partners. Please review these Policies carefully. Beeswax may, at its discretion, update these Policies at any time—it is your responsibility to ensure that you adhere to these Policies, including any updates hereto.

These Policies are not an exhaustive list of prohibitions and restrictions, but rather represent platform principles. Beeswax reserves the right to reject, suspend, or remove from its platforms any ad in its sole discretion, regardless of whether a basis for removal is listed here. These Policies do not limit Beeswax’s discretion in any way. Beeswax maintains the right, but not the obligation, to review and approve all ads prior to the delivery to the inventory and to monitor the inventory for ad quality. Ultimately, though, it is the responsibility of each buyer (including the end advertisers or agencies that purchase through any individual buyer) to ensure compliance with these Policies.

Advertising Creatives

Your use of Beeswax services, and every ad placed in connection with those services, must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and self-regulatory group guidelines in any relevant jurisdiction, including but not limited to, all laws, rules, and regulations that relate to the placement of ads through online behavioral advertising and to the delivery of ads to children.

Universally Prohibited Content

The following categories of advertising creatives are prohibited and will not be accepted on any Beeswax platform:

  • Illegal activity or products: Facilitating or promoting illegal activity or containing content that is illegal. This includes illegal guns, illegal drugs, and illegal gambling.
  • Deceptive, offensive, or inappropriate content: Containing content that is deceptive, misleading, defamatory, libelous, obscene, distasteful, racially or ethnically offensive, harassing, or that is discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, color, creed, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected groups.
  • Infringing activity: Infringing upon or violating any right of any third party, including, without limitation, any intellectual property privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Inaccurate creative declarations: Where applicable, all creatives must have attributes accurately declared, including but not limited to advertiser domain, auto-play video, click-to-play video, expandable, secure, and any other attributes that may be added from time to time.
  • Explicit adult and/or obscene content: sexually explicit, pornographic, and/or obscene content.

Restricted

The following categories are not universally prohibited by Beeswax; however, they are not appropriate for all Beeswax products and/or inventory. Allowance of these content categories will depend on the specific nature of the Beeswax product or service being offered and the parameters of the campaign:

  • Adult oriented: Pornography is not permitted, but certain adult-oriented content may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
  • Potentially dangerous or addictive products: Advertisements for guns, alcohol, non-FDA approved products, gambling, cannabis, and tobacco products may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, provided they are being served or distributed in a jurisdiction where such product/service/activity is legal.

Landing Pages

Landing Pages must also comply with quality standards, including:

  • General: Landing pages may not contain any of the prohibits content or behaviors outlined above
  • Offers: The offers or products advertised in the creative should match those available on the landing page
  • Forceful redirect: Landing pages should not forcefully redirect the user to other pages or content

Ad Resale

In some cases advertisers may buy ad impressions and use an ad tag to resell those impressions. When reselling ad inventory, Beeswax will prohibit tags which result in the following behaviors:

  • Falsify source: intentionally obscure or falsify the source of the inventory or artificially inflate the volume of such inventory in any way
  • Fraudulent display: intentionally display the ads in a non-visible portion of the page, or insert the ad into a non-visible IFrame
  • Ad stuffing: use a single ad impression to display multiple ad slots
  • Non-Delivery: Any ad that does not deliver a creative and register an impression 100% of the time whether for technical reasons or because the purchased impression was unfilled
